Who is CG Entertainment?

CG Entertainment is a female owned and operated dance and performance art entertainment company based in Portland, Oregon and working throughout Oregon and Washington, active since 2015.  We specialize in couture costuming, extravagant roaming characters, interactive performances, as well as choreographed and ambient dance entertainment! We match the best entertainers for our clients needs and streamline the processes of hiring and coordinating performers for various events! We have standard staged productions in a variety of themes, and we also create fully customized performances at the behest of our clients unrestrained imaginations!

A Note of Gratitude

Hello!  My name is Courtney, I am the founder and creative director of CG Entertainment!  First and foremost, I would like to extend to you my gratitude for taking the time to consider my application as it would be a great honor for myself and my performers to be a part of this great staple of Oregon culture!  Some of my earliest memories are coming to Fair with my family as a little kid, dressing up, and being immersed in the magic.  In fact, these experiences made such a huge impression on me that they became foundational to who I am in adulthood, inspiring me to emulate that magic through my work at CG Entertainment.

Fabled Forest Fauns

For many years I have dreamed of a costumed character that I wish to create, which I am hoping to bring to life for the first time at OCF 2024 as an ambient wandering performance group. I dream to create a group of mythical female Fauns with natural antlers and floppy doe ears, furry doe legs atop hoofed feet, dressed in natural fibers of leather and twigs amongst flowing sheer silks and laces, adorned in natural jewelry, moss, blossoms and foliage braided into their hair.

They would roam around the Fair grounds having heard the sounds of the human music and laughter, curious they made their way to the edge of the woods to see what was going on! Being generally shy, at first they were stealthy, just observing from afar, but when they saw everyone dancing and hugging and smiling they decided to join in the celebration!

But of course they didn’t come empty handed, strapped with wind instruments, hide drums, and tambourines, they play music and dance with patrons as they commune and celebrate with the humans! And when it comes time to part ways, they may gift you with a satchel of seeds, dried herbs, gemstones, and other gifts from their enchanted forest as a keepsake to remember them, always!
